JAMMU, Dec 13: Senior Advocate Ashok Bhan has been elected as senior member of executive of Supreme Court Bar Association, the Apex Bar of the country.
Bhan is regularly practicing as Senior Advocate of Supreme Court and is rated as a Constitutional expert for his studies and arguments in most crucial Constitutional matters like reservation, transparency in judicial appointments, declaration of asset and antecedents of the aspiring contesting legislators and parliamentarians, inclusion of right to life in Article 21, etc.
He has argued many important criminal matters and has represented CBI as a special Senior Counsel in high profile white collar criminal cases.
Bhan is known as a crusader for upholding human rights. He has represented India in UNSC and is a frequent visitor representative of UN Human Rights Commission. He is a track-II diplomat and expert in dispute resolution jurisprudence.
