KISHTWAR, Apr 22: Shamsher Singh Bhandari Member Civil Society and Ex. secretary Youth Congress J&K today said that Kuligard road has become a death trap and the concerned agencies have totally failed to maintain it resulting into loss of precious human lives daily.
In a statement issued here, today he said despite the repeated pleas to the Government to take steps in constructing the road by handing it over to a reputed agency no steps were taken in this regard over the years with the result the people of this hilly region are often falling prey to fatal accidents. He demanded an everlasting treatment be made to road at Kuligarh road
Bhandari said that the concerned road has become death trap but the coalition is in the deep slumber.
He demanded immediate measures to be taken and requested the NHIDCL to personally monitor the work of Batote -Kishtwar National Highway and sought the intervention of Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari into the matter.
