KISHTWAR, Dec 6: A delegation of prominent people of Kishtwar led by Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari today called on Chief General Manager, Pakul Dool Hydro Electric Project, Shabir Zargar and discussed various issues with him.
The delegation demanded that the local unemployed youth be given priority in employment in the project in view of the lack of employment avenues in the hilly belt of Doda and Kishtwar districts.
Bhandari asked the CGM that the Government should fulfill its commitment of providing 3000 jobs to local youth in the project. The delegation informed the CGM about the problems being faced by unemployed youth of the twin districts and said by opening employment avenues for them they will be relived of the mental agony and sufferings.
Bhandari also demanded that the small contracts be also given to local people of the area.
