Bhandari for extra measures in checking road accidents

KISHTWAR, Jan 5: The member Civil Society, Kishtwar and social activist, Shamsher Singh Bhandari today urged the Government to take extra measures in checking increasing road accidents in erstwhile Doda district.
In an appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha he said that it is imperative that some extra ordinary steps be taken to check rash driving, overloading and driving under the influence of liquor etc so that the precious lives are not lost in road mishaps.
He said like Modi Governemnt took some praise worthy decisions for the development of far flung and backward areas of J&K including erstwhile Doda district, it is hoped that a robust policy will be framed for checking the increasing road accidents in this hilly region.
He said that for the first time any Government has taken the initiative for development of hitherto neglected and backward regions of J&K and credit for this goes to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
