SRINAGAR, Aug19: Police today destroyed bhung cultivation spread over a vast area of land in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A Police spokesman said that on the directions of SSP Anantnag, Altaf Ahmad Khan, Anantnag police destroyed bhung cultivation spread on about 8 kanals of land.
He said a team headed by SHO Bijbehara under the supervision of SDPO Bijbehara destroyed bung cultivation spread on about 08 Kanlas of land at Village Semthan Sangam. “The locals of the area appreciated this action of police and have wished to continue the drive in the area,” he added.
