Bharat Bhushan, Khajuria ask BJP workers to gear up for elections

JAMMU, Dec 28: Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Jammu has urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers to gear up for the upcoming Panchayat, Urban Local Bodies, Assembly and Parliamentary elections that will be conducted in 2023 and 2024.
While addressing a public meeting held at Block Mathwar near here, today, he asserted that it is the foremost duty of party workers to take the policies of BJP to the people at grass root level. The DDC Chairman was the chief guest at the meeting that was conducted under the chairmanship of Omi Khajuria, president Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu North.
He asked them to start working in mission mode and make the people aware about the achievements of the BJP Government at the Centre especially regarding Jammu and Kashmir where the people are witnessing unprecedented era of development.
During the meeting, Omi Khajuria, president BJP, Jammu North impressed upon the party workers to intensify their efforts to further strengthen the booth level endeavours. He informed that at least 15 members will be connected with every booth to ensure the expansion of booth level activities of the party keeping in mind the upcoming elections in the next two years.
He said that the party High Command will take the final decision on the selection of its candidates for the various elections at the appropriate time but the party workers will have to gird up their loins from today in their respective areas to ensure the smooth victory of its candidates.
Later, the DDC Chairman interacted with the people of the block and listened to their pressing issues especially those related to the basic amenities including road, water and power woes.
After hearing them, Bharat Bhushan assured the people that blacktopping of the Rafta to Kalyar Road in Mathwar block will be done in the next two months.
The DDC Chairman also kick-started the development work of linking peripheral road to the main road which is estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh.
Ajay Sharma, district general secretary Jammu North, Ashok Kerni Mandal president, Kali Dass Verma, Mandal president, Kisan Morcha district president, Raman Singh Chib, Mandal general secretaries, Booth in charges and prominent workers of BJP were present.
