‘Bharat Darshan’ tour flagged in

JAMMU, Feb 3: The ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour of 15 children from far flung areas of Doda district was flagged in today by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 76 Battalion, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Range Headquarters, CRPF, Jammu, Neetu, was the chief guest during the flag-in ceremony. The tour was flagged off on January 28 in an impressive ceremony organized in the Battalion by Neeraj Kumar Pandey, Commandant, 76 Battalion, CRPF in the presence of other senior officers.
Presenting welcome address, Neeraj Kumar Pandey disclosed that the tour was organized under Civic Action Programme of the CRPF. He revealed that students visited Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, National Museum, Red Fort and Rajghat in Delhi and Surya temple, Chandra beach, Jagannath Temple, Chilka Lake, Lingraj Temple and many others famous tourism spots of Bhuvneshwar during the week-long tour.
The commandant further briefed the chief guest about various programme organized by the Battalion on time to time under its ‘Civic Action Programme’.
The chief guest interacted with the children returned from the tour and expressed hope that they will have learned a lot while enjoying the tour and their experience will be helpful for them in their future. She wished all the children a bright future ahead.
