Bharat Gaurav AC tourist train commences ‘Char Dham Yatra’ service

Delhi, Sept 14: For the ‘Char Dham Yatra’ Bharat Gaurav AC tourist train started service from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station here today.
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is being run under the “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative of the Government of India with the objective to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, through Bharat Gaurav Trains (Theme-based Tourist Circuit trains).
Due to popular demand, Railways have decided to operate another specially designed tour “Char Dham Yatra” through Bharat Gaurav AC Tourist Train to cover the revered four religious sites designated by Adi Shankarachrya viz. Badrinath (North), Jagannath Puri (East), Rameshwaram (South), Dwarkadhish (West) and other popular destinations, which are an integral part of the country’s pride, in 16 nights and 17 days of India by Bharat Gaurav AC Tourist Train.
The train departed from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on September 14, 2023 at 21:00 Hours and cover Rishikesh, Joshimath, Badrinath, Varanasi, Puri, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Hampi, Nashik and Dwarka in its 16 nights, 17 days tour.
In this train, passengers will also be able to board the train from Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ghaziabad, Meerut City and Muzaffarnagar railway stations. The modern deluxe AC train will have two luxurious restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubes in coaches, sensor-based toilet facilities, foot massagers and a mini library. The fully air-conditioned train has facilities like CCTV cameras, electronic safes and separate security guards for each coach.
