Bharat Petroleum celebrates 40th Foundation Day

JAMMU, Jan 23: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) celebrated its 40th foundation day, today.
In this connection, team Jammu of Bharat Petroleum organized a cultural event here at Abhinav Theatre. The rich heritage and true colours of Dogri art was displayed during the event. The artists from Doordarshan and Radio Station presented the rich Dogra art with a mix of Sufiana and old songs.
The highlight of the programme  was a short film on the journey of togetherness for a decade of BPCL with J&K Police, who are operating the petrol pumps in the State and the profit of which goes for the welfare of martyrs of the force.
The prominent among the guests present on the occasion were Zulfkar Ali Choudhary, MLA Darhal and former CAPD Minister; BR Sharma, Chief Secretary, J&K Government; Dr SP Vaid, ADG (HQ), J&K Police; Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; Danesh Rana, IGP, Jammu Zone; in addition to stakeholders of the corporation.
YK Gupta, Head of Operations, Northern Region, felicitated the guests. He also read out the message of CMD of BPCL.
Earlier, the function began with welcome address by Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager (Retail).
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary, J&K Government, complemented the company’s efforts in organizing the event. He said that such unique initiatives of the company help creating an atmosphere of positive business environment with good governance.
The function concluded with presentation of mementoes to the artists and vote of thanks by Vikram Gupta, Territory Manager, LPG.
