JAMMU, Dec 18: Senior PDP leader and party candidate from Jammu East Assembly constituency, Bharat Chowdhary today said that he will work tirelessly to implement his agenda of all round growth and development of Jammu as per his vision document.
Addressing a press conference here today, Bharat Chowdhary reiterated that he will work tirelessly for the people of his constituency who have expressed their faith in him and his party.
He said his vision document included ensuring development of Jammu as a modern city by its inclusion in Prime Minister’s 100 Smart Cities project, promotion of Old Jammu City as a heritage city and an independent tourist destination by developing areas like Raghunath Bazar and other bazars, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Peer Kho – Bahu Fort Ropeway, Tawi Lake, Jamia Masjid Markaz, Gurudwara Bibi Chand Kaur, St Paul Church etc.
He would also work for improving basic infrastructure of Jammu City to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water, electricity and other basic amenities especially up gradation of old wire conductors, transformers and other electricity distribution equipment.
“To ensure speedy and time bound implementation of need based and area specific development works like building of Roads, Lanes and Bye-Lanes, decongesting the city by making additional multi level parking areas and improve sanitation conditions by speedy completion of underground sewerage project and proper solid waste management will be my priority”, he added.
Besides, he said upgradation and expansion of education system by improving the physical and teaching infrastructure of schools in the city, creating more employment opportunities for the youth, upgradation of health infrastructure especially for senior citizens by reviving evening dispensaries and special Women and Child Clinics will be his other priorities.
