Bharti takes up Jagti Hospital issue with Bali

JAMMU, May 13: Newly elected BJP MLC Ajay Bharti (GL Raina) today took up several issues with Health & Medical Education Minister Bali Bhagat pertaining to the lack of facilities being provided at Jagti Hospital and other Healthcare Centers located at various camps where displaced Kashmiri Pandit community is residing.
MLC also brought to the notice of the Minister the fact that in absence of supplies of medicines, surgical items & other items, there are now some voluntary  donors who are contributing and helping in ensuring that at least minimum supply of all essentially  required medical items is made available at these centers  and further added that even he (MLC) contributed  and arranged some emergency supplies at Jagti hospital after seeing the dearth and erratic supply module at these centers primarily at Jagti Hospital .
Bharti also brought to the notice of the Minister that during his recent visits to these health centers it was brought to his notice that there was huge deficit in supply of medicines, surgical items, sutures and other items which is adding to the miseries of the displaced community who have already suffered a lot in these years of exile and if some immediate steps are not taken it  will only worsen the situation further ,he added
The ownership issues pertaining to the Jagti Hospital  was also discussed in the meeting with the Minister by MLC wherein he said that there seems to be consistent confusion as to who is the custodian of the hospital whereas the MLC added that Relief Department has already handed over the hospital Building to the Directorate of health Jammu and the same be sorted out.
