JAMMU, Apr 10: Bhartiya Yog Sansthan headquartered at Rohini, Delhi celebrated its 56th Foundation Day today with fervour and enthusiasm across India and abroad.
This year the Foundation Day was celebrated at all of its 4000 centres as “maximum participation event”.
Satya Pal, President, BYS Jammu and Kashmir said that this year all the old, existing and prospective Yog Practioners (Sadhaks) were invited to attend the celebrations at all the 120 Yoga centres in the UT of J&K.
Thousands of Yoga lovers participated in today’s celebration. The benefits of adopting Yoga in our daily routine for overall physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing were put across by trained Yoga teachers of the organisation.
Yoga at these centres is taught free of cost to the yoga aspirants without any colour, caste or creed discrimination.
Satya Pal further said that their mission is to take Yoga to each and every household in the UT. For this purpose, more and more Yoga centres shall be opened this year in addition to reopening those centres which were closed temporarily due to COVID-19, he informed.
