NCEEITET concludes at GCET Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 23: The two- day 9th National Conference and Exhibition on Emerging and Innovative Trends in Engineering Technology (NCEEITET), organized by Govt College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Jammu in technical collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and World Consortium of Universities, culminated today at GCET Jammu.
Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion. He urged the potential engineers to constantly strive for excellence, learn & upgrade skills, avail enormous opportunities for the sustainable economic growth & development and provide solutions for the better and promising tomorrow.
He stressed upon developing an interface between the engineering institutions, researchers and industry professionals to boost the capabilities of the aspiring engineers to the maximum utility and their experience to become enterprising as job providers.
Saurav Kumar Shah, Executive Director Power Finance Corporation Ltd, was present on the occasion as guest of honour. He shared valuable insights with the students and implored them to contribute constructively in nation’s building.
Principal GCET Jammu, Dr Sameru Sharma, in her address, highlighted the pressing challenges posed by climate change and global warming, emphasizing the need to mitigate their adverse effects in our daily lives.
Prof Raja Datta from IIT Kharagpur, organizing chairperson of the event, encouraged students to convert any viable thought provoking ideas into commercial ventures that would not only financially empower them but would also play a significant role in bringing the technical reforms.
An industry-student interactive session was convened with speakers including Pankaj Atri from BIS, K R Suri, retired GM PGCIL, Prof Ankush Anand of SMVDU Katra.
The event showcased a rich tapestry of technical sessions and interactive dialogues, aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and innovation across diverse engineering disciplines.
Prof Raja Datta from IIT Kharagpur, Karan Nathwani, Dr Bidhan Biswas, Dr Rajendra Varma from IIT Jammu, Prof Sanjay Mohan, SMVDU and Er Rajnish Magotra delivered the invited talks.
Prof Sourav Saran, Head, TBIC, IIM Jammu, Er Eshan Verma, Er Arush Mahajan, and Dr Devendera Khokhar ignited the entrepreneurial spark with their wisdom and experience.
The event ended with the formal vote of thanks by Prof Bhawna Sharma, Coordinator of the event.
