Bhim for Advisory Committee on J&K, appeals gun wielding youth to surrender

JAMMU, Dec 29: Suggesting President of India to constitute an Advisory Committee on J&K, Panthers Party supremo Prof Bhim Singh today appealed the gun wielding youth to surrender and join the mainstream for reconstruction and prosperity of the State.
While addressing a press conference, here today, he stressed that bullets from all sides have only resulted in death and destruction in the State and nothing else.
The NPP leader strongly pleaded with the President of India to constitute an Advisory Committee for Jammu & Kashmir to deal with the circumstances and situation during the President’s Rule with new approach and new working order. He urged the President of India to ensure that justice is done to all the residents of the State residing in all the three regions, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu Pradesh. He said that fresh approach should be initiated with the fresh thinking in order to involve people, particularly the youth towards progress and development through construction and not destruction.
Bhim Singh suggested that there should be ceasefire in the State at least for three months from first day of the New Year while law & order should be dealt by the Police while the Army should be withdrawn from the populated areas.
He stressed that the Jammu & Kashmir Police is competent to look after the disturbed areas which fall under Municipal or Panchayat administration while all the youth against whom cases stand registered or wanted by the Police should be persuaded to give up guns and surrender before the Police.
The JKNPP leader further said that the Legal Aid Committee, Jammu & Kashmir, shall take up the cases of all those who shall surrender to the Police during this period. “The Legal Aid Committee shall provide free legal aid from the district to the State High Court and up to the Supreme Court. Justice shall be done,” Bhim Singh assured and appealed the Governor to support this mission of the State Legal Aid Committee in Jammu & Kashmir to ensure that justice shall be done to all those who surrender and give up arms.
