JAMMU, Sept 2: J&K National Panthers Party (NPP) leader and Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee Prof Bhim Singh has urged upon the State Governor, Satya Pal Malik to convene all party meeting in J&K.
In an urgent letter sent to the J&K Governor, NPP leader conveyed to him to convene urgent meeting of representatives of all recognized political parties, at least, operating in J&K both national and regional.
“I am taking this liberty urging your honour to kindly convene a meeting of the representatives of the recognised political parties, at least, in Jammu and Kashmir. The political parties have been facing terrible situation from all sides and their social contacts as well as communications have to be restored. Since August 5, 2019 I could only contact vice president of the JKNPP, Masood Andrabi residing in Srinagar. The security forces/police have thrown out all his luggage/belongings from the room into the street.
He has been working for the Panthers Party for over 15 years with commitment to peace, harmony and brotherhood,” the letter said.
” There are some other senior activists working in Kashmir Valley but have remained cut off in Jammu or Delhi. I would like to request your honour to kindly fix a day with the representatives of the Panthers Party and all other state recognised political parties so that your may find yourself the situation in which political activists, of parties like NPP, National Conference and PDP are trapped in Kashmir Valley in particular. Same is the situation in Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban and Reasi districts. There is no communication of the suffering people with officials of J&K Govt, nor there is any system in the Government to meet the suffering people in villages or even in the towns. There is urgent need to hold an urgent meeting with the representatives of all political parties,” Singh in his letter said.
