Bifurcation of Ration Cards

Sir,
The ongoing issue of ration card bifurcation in Jammu and Kashmir is deeply concerning. Thousands are being denied access to essential Government schemes due to the outdated system, with no bifurcation occurring since 2011.
This administrative oversight impacts many, including the elderly awaiting Old Age Pension and low-income families unable to access subsidized rations.
The delay in updating the ration card system, as stated by the Director of FCS&CA, underscores a broader issue of inefficiency.
It is imperative that the authorities expedite the process of bifurcation and update the system to reflect current realities.
Immediate action is needed to alleviate the hardship faced by those in genuine need and to ensure that Government schemes benefit the intended recipients.
