SAMBA, Apr 18: In its fight against COVID -19, Samba police on the one hand successfully enforcing the lockdown in the entire district on the other hand helping all those needy persons who are facing hardships due to ongoing lockdown.
Samba police came forward to resolve the issue of milk sellers of Vijaypur, Samba and Ghagwal areas especially nomads whose main source of livelihood is by selling milk and are facing hardship in selling milk owing to ongoing lockdown.
Due to difficulty in selling milk, the sale of their milk is affected badly and they are facing a hard time in getting food for their livestock.
Samba police after discussing the matter with Jammu based Milk plants, has sorted out their problem & Surya Milk Plant, Jammu has agreed to buy the milk from the milk sellers of Vijaypur, Samba & Ghagwal areas. It has agreed to buy the huge quantity of milk especially during lockdown period giving a sigh of relief to milk sellers especially nomads of the district.
The milk sellers and their families expressed gratitude to Samba police for resolving their issue as milk selling is their only source of livelihood.
The milk sellers have complimented both SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak and Additional SP, Faisal Qureshi for their efforts in this regard.
