Bihar CM Nitish playing last inning of his political career : Prashant Kishor

PATNA, Jan 3: Founder of “Jan Suraaj ” Prashant Kishor on Friday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is playing last inning of his political career.

Kishor popularly known as PK, sitting on fast unto death dharna at Gandhi Maidan in Patna since Thursday, told media persons that Chief Minister Kumar was playing last inning of his political career.

Kumar was also aware of the fact that there would be end of his political career after next assembly election slated for October-November this year, he added.

PK said people were fed up with Kumar and it was evident of the fact that JD(U) had got only  42 seats in 2020 Bihar assembly election. Despite JD(U) being at third position in tally in 2020 assembly election, Kumar managed to become Chief Minister using his political manoeuvre, he pointed out.

Kishor said that Kumar had no concern for the youths particularly BPSC aspirants who were agitating in support of their demand for re-conducting preliminary test. It was pathetic to note that aspirants were lathi-charged near Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday evening, he lamented.

PK said family members of those lathi-charged would teach a lesson to Kumar in next assembly election. Kumar had forgotten the power of students’ agitation, he pointed out.

The Jan Suraaj  Founder said he would continue his fast unto death dharna till demands were accepted by the government. He refuted the claims of officials of district administration that dharna organised at Gandhi Maidan was illegal.

“Officials are misinterpreting the ruling of Patna High Court that dharna is not allowed at Gandhi Maidan in Patna “, PK said and added that he and BPSC aspirants were sitting silently and peacefully at Gandhi Maidan in support of demand for BPSC re-examination.

There was no public inconvenience, no traffic disruption and no nuisance due to dharna, he stressed. Ruling of Patna High Court was not about Gandhi Maidan but for sitting at dharna on Bailey road, he clarified.
