KATHUA, Dec 28: A bike rider was killed after he was hit by a bus near Shahidi Chowk here this morning.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when a mason-cum-contractor hailing from UP and presently residing in Kathua town was moving on his bike at around 9 am today. His bike was hit by bus No. JK02AN/6981. He was thrown away and received serious head injury. The injured was rushed to District Hospital where doctors declared him as dead. The bus driver escaped from the spot while police has registered a case and seized the bus.
