JAMMU, Oct 19: A 38-year-old biker died today after he was hit by a trolley truck here at Digiana Pulli area of the District.
Taking cognisance of the matter, police have registered a case FIR number 224/2023 Under Sections 279, 337, and 304(A) of the IPC registered at Police Station Satwari and started further investigating the matter.
“An uncontrolled trolley truck hit a motorcycle driven by one Dharam Chand son of Bawa Ram of Phinder, Khour Deonia, RS Pura, around 12:15 am at Digiana Pulli area, resulting in injuries to the biker,” a police spokesperson said.
He said the injured was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College Jammu, where he was declared as dead on arrival by the team of doctors.
Police have shifted the body of the deceased to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem.
