POONCH, May 25: A biker- rider was seriously injured after he was hit by a truck in Surankote area this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 6.45 pm when the truck No. JK03E/ 5138, driven by one Mohd Yunis from Braj Bara in Anantnag, was on way to Jammu from Shopian side. When it reached near Faizlabad, a bike No. JK20/1172 and truck had collision. The bike rider Zaheer Ahmed (24), son of Mohd Ikhlaq, resident of Surankote was seriously injured and was shifted to SDH Surankote. He was later referred to Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
