SAMBA, Dec 29: A bike rider was injured after hit by unknown vehicle near Zamindara Dhaba, Raya Morh area of Vijaypur in district Samba today.
According to police, during the intervening night the accident took place at Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Zamindara Dhaba Raya Morh area of Vijapur, when the motorcycle bearing Registration No JK02AD- 2566 which was on way to Jammu from Vijaypur, on reaching Raya Morh was suddenly hit by an unknown vehicle.
This resulted in critical injury of bike rider, Akshay Kumar, son of Shiv Dayal, resident of Kaccha Talab Bahu Fort, Jammu. He was shifted to emergency Hospital Vijaypur for treatment, after first aid doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
