JAMMU, May 15: A biker was knocked to death this evening by an unknown vehicle in Rajinder Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Chinore.
“The 24-year-old Shubham son of Lekh Raj, resident of Bhaderwah (at present living in Bantalab area of Jammu) was hit and severely injured by an unknown vehicle at Swarn Vihar near JDA Park when he was riding his bike bearing registration number JK06B-0350,” Police sources said.
They said the mishap occurred today at about 7 PM and the injured youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“The body of the deceased was shifted in mortuary room of the Hospital while a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation initiated,” sources added.
