Bill introduced in Assembly to amend J&K Civil Services Act

SRINAGAR, Aug 27:  A Bill was today introduced in the Legislative Assembly to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (special provision) Act, 2010.
The Bill introduced by Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today aims to extend the time period for submission of requisite information of all cases of Adhoc, Contractual or Consolidated employees engaged in various departments for regularisation to the Empowered  Committee.
The Act imposes obligation on all the Administrative Departments to refer all the cases of Adhoc, Contractual and Consolidated employees for regularization to the Empowered Committee with in Sixty days of commencement of the Act.
Keeping in view the genuineness of these cases, it was felt necessary to amend the Act so that all these cases of Adhoc, Contractual and Consolidated employees could be considered for regularization by the Empowered Committee.
