JAMMU, Dec 20: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today ordered appointment of DIG North Kashmir Uday Bhaskar Billa as DIG CRPF against an existing vacancy on deputation basis.
The posting has been approved for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
Billa is an IPS officer of 2008 batch of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, now AGMUT.
The MHA order asked Union Territories Division to relieve Billa immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.
