Billawar Police rescues 31 bovine animals

KATHUA, Aug 29: As a part of drive against menace of bovine smuggling launched by Kathua Police, Billawar Police today foiled a major bovine smuggling bid and rescued 31 bovine animals.
A team of Police Station Billawar led by Inspector Sushil Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Basohli,Shivender Singh Jamwal and on the direction of SSP Kathua, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, laid a naka at Dingi Simbli, Dhar Road and intercepted three smugglers namely Qasim S/o Malli,  Noor Alam S/o Ibrahim both residents of Ladana teh. Ramnagar district, Udhampur and Khan Mohd. S/o Shah Wali R/o Payala Dhanwalth teh. Ramnagar district Udhampur along with 31 bovine animals.
The bovines were being smuggled towards Dinanagar Punjab on foot.
In this connection, a case FIR No.  65 /2017 U/S 188 RPC has been registered at P/S Billawar. Further investigation is going on.
