KATHUA, Oct 9: In continuation to stringent action against illegal liquor menace and to ensure complete ban on liquor during ULB elections in Kathua District , a police team of Police Station, Billawar under the directions of Inspector, Vijay SHO PS Billawar during patrolling and checking duty today seized 35 bottles of JK excise whisky at Sukrala road Billawar.
Police seized these liquor bottles in illegal possession of one Yashpaul, son of Moti Lal of Machedi Billawar. He was carrying liquor with intention to sell it on dry days declared during ULBs elections in Kathua.
Police arrested him and registered a case FIR No 114/2018 U/S 48 (a) Excise act against him.
