Billawar police seizes 6.5 grams of heroin

KATHUA, June 18: District police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R.C Kotwal today recovered 6.50 grams of heroin like contraband near at Dhanari bridge area of Police Station (PS) Billawar and arrested one drug peddler in this regard.
Police said a team led by Sub Inspector, Ravinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar while on naka checking duty at Dhar road near Dhanari bridge apprehended one suspicious person. On thorough checking, approximately 6.50 grams of heroin like contraband was recovered from the possession of the accused namely Mohammad Arif, son of Mashkoor Ali of Bhool Ramkot.
Police seized the recovered material and arrested the person involved. A case FIR No 95/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Billawar and further investigation taken up into the case.
