JAMMU, Nov 16: Former Deputy Mayor, Jammu and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria today dedicated three newly constructed lanes along with drains to the public at Ward 45, Digiana in Bahu Assembly constituency.
The works were constructed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at an approximate cost of Rs 45 lakh with paver tiles.
Billawaria was accompanied by a large number of people including JMC officials, local residents and political activists of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that during his tenure as Deputy Mayor of Jammu, he had got these development works to fulfil the demands of the people and today the same development works are being dedicated to public. “I am happy that I am getting the privilege of inaugurating the development works that I had planned”, he added.
Billawaria further said that after the demise of late councillor Raj Rani, he took the responsibility of this Ward and he tried to clean and develop the Ward. He said that to fulfil the resolution taken by late BJP councillor, Raj Rani to make Ward No. 45 Digiana a Modern Ward, he dedicated his full contribution with the cooperation of BJP workers, due to which today the condition of the Ward is better than before.
He said that the development works are being done in each and every Ward of Jammu city and wherever necessary, the works are being executed by the concerned departments on priority so that people do not suffer.
Billawaria stated that Jammu city has developed a lot in recent years and it can be judged by the quality of infrastructure that is being provided to the inhabitants of all 75 wards by the administration at their doorstep to provide the best facilities. He also stated that BJP is the only party which has taken overall development as the primary task and the Government schemes have reached out to every household under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Satpal Choudhary, Vinod Kumar Sharma, Raj Singh Randhawa, Sanjay Sharma, Ritika Dhiman, Rajni Gupta and others were present on the occasion.
