JAMMU, Nov 7: BJP senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the construction work of beautification on empty space near Ram Leela ground, Gangyal in Gandhi Nagar constituency today.
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the construction of a park there along with construction work of a badminton and volleyball court would also be done for the youth to play. He said that after the completion of development works the young players of Gangyal and nearby areas would definitely get the benefits. He said that in order to fulfil this objective we have decided to take forward the game and the players.
Billawaria said that physical and mental development of a person is done through sports and till then the person will not be physically and mentally healthy besides the concept of healthy society and healthy nation is meaningless. He said that the youth should show more interest in sports so that they will stay away from the bad habit of drugs and they will also be able to keep their peers away.
Further he said that the dream that he has seen to make Gangyal a model ward is getting full support from the people. He said that if given further opportunity, “I will try even more to promote and encourage the sports”. The Gangyal Welfare Association and Mandir Committee Gangyal also expressed their gratitude to Billawaria for promoting the sports sector.
Ranjit Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Sunil Sharma, Yash Raj, Abhinandan Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Rajinder Jamwal, Charan Das, Jugal Kishore, KD Singh, Om Nath, Suresh Kumar, Ajit Bhadwal, Balwan Singh and many others were present.
