JAMMU, Oct 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the construction work of the boundary wall of Shishu Samadhi at Ekta Vihar in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
An estimated of Rs 6 lakh will be spent on the construction of the boundary wall. Billawaria said that these places were burial sites for children and newborn babies but many people were throwing the Mulba that came out during the construction of the buildings along with the vehicles parked at Shishu Samadhi site. He said that the Shishu Samadhi was buried under tons of mulba as people used to throw dirty garbage there.
He said that the sentiments of the people were hurt by the dumping of mulba and dirty garbage in the area. He said that various organisations demanded to secure the Shishu Samadhi site by getting the boundary wall constructed. Billawaria said that the boundary wall work has been started fulfilling these demands of the people. He said that after the boundary wall, throwing of dirty garbage and dumping of mulba would stop and the Shishu Samadhis would be safe. He appealed to the people to do their part in keeping the Jammu city neat and clean.
On this occasion, AEE Khalid Iqbal, Ranjit Singh, Sunil Sharma, Surjit Kumar, Abhinandan Sharma, Mukh Raj, Balwan Singh, Yash Raj, Twinkle Singh, Jugal Kishore, Joga Singh, Ajeet Bhadwal, K.D Singh, Avtar Singh and others were present.
