JAMMU, May 16: Continuing the campaign to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the construction work of lane and drain near Shri Gurudwara Sahib, Ekta Vihar in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency today.
Baldev Singh Billawaria in his address said that it was the long pending demand of the local people and now the demand has been fulfilled.
He said that earlier a lot of development works were done in this area and the pending development works will also be done in a phased manner.
He said that we will continue to work in the ward to provide basic facilities to the residents. The Deputy Mayor also added that the development works will be completed in a time-bound manner and strict quality control measures will be implemented to ensure that the construction meets the required standards. The Deputy Mayor further said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the amenities of the citizens will not be compromised. He said that the JMC is committed to provide the best possible services to the citizens and this project is a step forward in that direction.
He said that JMC follows the footstep of Prime Minister, Narinder Bhai Modi and is carrying the policy of Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab Ka Vishwas aur Sab Ka Prayas. He said that JMC will never lag behind in developmental works. Billawaria also asked the locals to ensure that they do not litter in public places and dispose of their garbage in the designated bins. He also requested the residents to cooperate with the JMC and take up collective responsibility for the cleanliness and sanitation of the Ward. Deputy Mayor also said that people now directly come to me with their problems and on spot decisions are taken to settle them and they don’t have to go anywhere for their genuine problems related with the development.
