JAMMU, Nov 13: Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria today kick started the construction work of laying of paver tile at Ward 42, Nanak Nagar in Bahu Assembly constituency.
This construction work will be executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at a cost of around Rs 27 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that there was a demand for a long time that this development work should be done as the condition of this road was very bad. Deputy Mayor said that with the deteriorated condition of the lane, the passersby were facing great hardship while walking through the area now after the completion of this construction work people will get a lot of relief.
Billawaria directed the concerned engineers and contractor to complete the work within the stipulated time frame by use of best quality construction material for its long durability and up to the satisfaction of locals. Billawaria also said that the local people should personally monitor the quality of the ongoing development works in their areas so that pace of development can be improved.
While interacting with the local people, Billawaria said that all the roads falling under the area have been made blacktopped and the work of the remaining ones will also start soon. He assured the people of the area that in the coming days also the pace of development would be continued in the Ward. Deputy Mayor said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the entire focus of the BJP at the Centre is on Jammu and Kashmir and many public welfare schemes are being implemented in the UT. He asked the senior citizens of the area who do not have any source of income to come to his office and submit the pension form for their old age and take benefit of public welfare schemes by the Central Government.
He said that BJP is the largest political party in the country and every worker of the party is working hard to strengthen the party at the grass-root level. Deputy Mayor appealed the people to do their part in keeping the Jammu city neat and clean.
