Billawaria kick starts lane, drain work at Gadigarh

JAMMU, Oct 17: Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria today kick started the work of lane, drain and protection wall at Ward 73, Gadigarh, Mahakali Nagar in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency.
This development work will be executed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor said that as the demand of the lane and drain was brought to his notice by the local residents, he immediately directed the concerned authorities to prepare an estimate for its construction and today the demand of development works has been fulfilled.
The Deputy Mayor said that the lane and drain work is one of the basic works needed along with that of water, electricity for people. He said that this work will not only provide protection to the community but will also provide a sense of connectivity and belongingness to the community. He said that the JMC is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the amenities of the citizens are not compromised.
The Deputy Mayor said that it is very astonishing that the Gadigarh area has remained undeveloped. He further said that the previous Government was biased and playing with the sentiments of the people in terms of development. He said that the JMC is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the amenities of the citizens are not compromised. Deputy Mayor said that he is committed to carry forward the equitable development of the Jammu city irrespective of caste, colour and creed carrying forward the slogan of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
The public brought some problems to the notice of Deputy Mayor and demanded that work should be executed on priority. Billawaria assured the residents that their legitimate demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
He appealed to the public to come up with the developmental works which are a necessity of the hour so that the process for the execution is initiated at the earliest.
The Deputy Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to provide better infrastructure and other basic amenities to the people of Jammu city.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were BJP Mandal president, Vijay Sharma, Satpal Choudhary, Ex-subedar-major Kulwant Singh, Ramneek Singh, Jasmeet Singh, Sunil Dutt Khajuria and others.
