JAMMU, Jan 24: Giving impetus to the development works, senior leader of BJP Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the work of laying tiles at Gangyal in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the work is being done by the Jammu Municipal Corporation at a cost of about five lakh rupees. He said that this road was constructed in the year 2002 when he was the Sarpanch of Gangyal Halka.
The local residents said that they raised the issue of construction of the road many times to former Congress Minister but this area was ignored by him. Local residents said that today after almost 20 years, the work of the road has been started due to efforts of Billawaria.
While interacting with the local people, Billawaria said that all the roads falling under the area have been made blacktopped and the work of the remaining ones will also start soon. He assured the people of the area that in the coming days also the pace of development would be continued in the Ward.
Billawaria said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the entire focus of the BJP at the Center is on Jammu and Kashmir and big public welfare schemes including free vaccines, free ration etc are being implemented here.
He asked the senior citizens of the area who do not have any source of income to come to his office and submit the pension form for their old age and take benefit of public welfare schemes by the Central Government.
