JAMMU, Oct 8: Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria laid foundation stone for footpath and green strip development worth Rs 9 crore under the National Green Strip Programme in Ward 56, Gangyal, in the RS Pura Jammu South constituency today.
The foundation was laid in presence of district president BJP Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan as well as officers from the concerned department. Addressing the public meeting on the occasion, Deputy Mayor said that the ambitious project aims to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Ward 56, Gangyal and adjoining areas by creating a well-structured and environment-friendly space. The development of the footpath and green strip aligns with the overarching goals of the National Green Strip Programme, contributing to the beautification and greenification of urban areas, he added.
Billawaria said he is committed to solve every problem of the people not only in his Ward but in the entire Jammu. He stated, this project reflects our commitment to making Jammu a more liveable and green city.
Deputy Mayor said that many mega projects and development works have been started under the Smart City Project and Jammu will emerge as a developing city. He said that BJP is the only party which believes in ensuring holistic development of every region and the Government of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the basic mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
Deputy Mayor said that the incumbent Union Administration led by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha deserves full credit for initiating revolutionary measures in every sector including the economic front.
BJP district president, Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan said that the people of Gangyal and its adjoining areas will benefit from this project. She said that under the leadership of Deputy Mayor, Jammu Ward 56 Gangyal has almost become a model ward. She said that most of this Ward is swampy area and it is very difficult to develop it but with the efforts of Baldev Singh Billawaria now this Ward is clean and all around development can be seen here. She said that Ward No. 56 is amongst the most developed wards of Jammu city. She, while appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Mayor Jammu said that Billawaria is always ready to provide support to his workers.
