JAMMU, July 17: Continuing the campaign to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of Jammu, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, started the construction work of lane and drain at Ward 45 Digiana in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency today.
This development work will be executed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Deputy Mayor, said Rs. 120.00 lakh has been earmarked for the improvement and progress of that particular Ward. The funds can be utilized for various development projects such as infrastructure improvements, public amenities, community initiatives, or any other developmental activities aimed at enhancing the living conditions and facilities in Ward.
Billawaria said that demands from public of Digiana Ward No. 45 will be met on priority basis and necessary instructions will be issued to the Engineering Department for preparing the estimates.
He said that this was a long pending demand of the people and now it has to be fulfilled. He said with the construction of this lane people will also get relief during the rainy season. Deputy Mayor said, “We are committed to the development of Ward No 45. The construction of new lanes and drains is just the first step in our efforts to improve the infrastructure of the area. We will continue to work towards the betterment of the Ward and its residents,” he added.
The Deputy Mayor said that all developmental works will be completed in a time-bound manner and strict quality control measures will be implemented to ensure that the construction meets the required standards and good quality of work. He further said that the JMC is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the amenities of the citizens are not compromised.
BJP district president, Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan said that hundreds of souls of Digiana and its adjoining areas will be benefitted. Interacting with the people, Rekha Mahajan said that development programmes have been launched in every constituency of BJP Jammu district South with the aim to provide better amenities to them. She apprised the people about the unmatched achievements of the Modi Government during the nine years.
Mandal President Ranjeet Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Satpal Chowdhary, Narendra Gupta (Koki), Vinod Sharma, Jugal Kishore and others were present.
