JAMMU, Apr 11: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today started blacktopping work at Ward 56 in Gangyal.
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said, with the start of blacktopping work, a long pending demand of the area has been addressed.
He directed the officers concerned to complete the work within stipulated time frame ensuring quality.
The BJP leader also said that the local people should personally monitor the quality of the ongoing development works in their areas so that pace of development can be improved.
Highlighting achievements in his Ward 56, Billawaria said that several exemplary measures have been taken to improve the living standard of the people for which JMC has provided liberal funding.
He said that provision for adequate drinking, water facilities, improved power, medicare facilities and infrastructural facilities to the people besides better lanes and drains are given priority by him.
He appealed to the people to do their part in keeping the Jammu city neat and clean.
Ranjit Singh, Mulkh Raj, Hardeep Singh, Ashok Sharma, Ram Lal Bali, Om Nath, Jugal Kishore and others were also present on the occasion.
