Billawaria takes stock of people’s problems

JAMMU, Aug 18: Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited Ward 55 Hari Vihar in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. Deputy Mayor Jammu took stock of the problems being faced by the people related to dilapidated condition roads, sanitation, drinking water and other development related issues.
Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that a delegation of residents of Hari Vihar requested him to visit the area. The Deputy Mayor said that many things came to the fore during the visit and fruitful discussions were held with the local residents. The people of the area informed the Deputy Mayor Jammu that the condition of roads and drains in the area was pathetic and it should be resolved soon. Along with this, the local residents also highlighted their problems regarding the shortage of drinking water.
Deputy Mayor directed the officers of the Municipal Corporation to prepare an estimate of the lane and drain of the area. He said that extensive road works would be undertaken to improve the overall connectivity within the Ward. He also said to the people about drinking water that the work of laying drinking water pipes would be started soon so that better drinking water could be available in the area.
He assured the local residents that all their grievances would be resolved and they would be provided with better basic services. He further said that the locality currently has inadequate sanitation facilities which need immediate attention. Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria directed the officials of the corporation to strengthen the sanitation system in the area so that the residents could get clean and hygienic facilities. He told the people that if they have any problem related to cleanliness, they can contact him without any hesitation and action will be taken on their every complaint with immediate effect.
He said that the aim of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is to give a clean and green Jammu. He also encouraged the residents to give their feedback and suggestions to aid the ongoing efforts to make Jammu a clean city.
Mandal president, Ranjit Singh, Pawan Chib, Rajinder Singh (Popi), former Naib Sarpanch, Balwan Singh, Joginder Singh, Bodh Raj, Mohinder Katal and other dignitaries were present.
