Billawaria, Yadav take stock of Vegetable Market shopkeepers problems

JAMMU, Apr 26: Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria along with Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Rahul Yadav visited Vegatable Market, Indira Chowk and Trikuta Complex BC road and took stock of the problem of the market.
The Deputy Mayor of Jammu and the JMC Commissioner were given a warm welcome by the Market Association. They took a round of the market and interacted with the shopkeepers to understand their problems. The shopkeepers expressed their grievances regarding the lack of basic amenities, inadequate parking spaces, poor sanitation, and other issues.
The main demand of the Vegetable Market Association that the new construction of the multipurpose complex be like Palika Bazaar Delhi.
Deputy Mayor Jammu, assured the shopkeepers that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) will take all possible steps to ensure the smooth functioning of the market and make sure that the shopkeepers get their due rights. He assured the associations of taking necessary steps and providing them with the required facilities. He also directed the authorities to come up with a plan for the betterment of the market and to resolve the issues faced by the shopkeepers.
He also asked the shopkeepers to cooperate with the JMC in their efforts to improve the market.
Trikuta Shopping Complex Welfare Association expressed his grievances regarding the dilapidated conditions of road leading to Trikuta complex in front of the Deputy Mayor of Jammu.
While interacting with the Trikuta Shopping Complex Association, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria assured them that their grievances would be addressed and much improved basic services will be provided to them. He asked the officer of concerned department to immediately prepare estimates and take up the works for remaining development works in the area.
He also appealed the general public not to use polythene carry bags as according to him, polythene materials block the nullahs and drains.
The visit of the Deputy Mayor and the JMC Commissioner was appreciated by the shopkeepers of Vegetable Market, Indira Chowk and Trikuta Complex BC Road. They expressed their satisfaction with the efforts taken by the JMC to improve the functioning of the market. Prominent among those present were Pritam Sharma, Suraj Sharma, Tarun Gupta, Raj Kumar Rajinder Bhagat, Krishan Gupta, Ravi Sharma and others.
