BISHNAH, June 6: A meeting of women workers of National Conference was held here today at village Bhadur Khan, which was chaired by MLA Bimla Luthra.
Various problems of the people of the area including acute scarcity of drinking water, blacktopping of roads, adequate power supply, old age pension, were highlighted during the meeting, to which the MLA assured the people that their demands would be redressed.
The MLA briefed the workers about the policies and programmes of the State Government. She asserted that the State Government headed by Omar Abdullah is giving preference to the upliftment of women, which is evident from the various welfare schemes launched by it for the welfare of women folk.
