JAMMU, Apr 24: Former MLA of J&K National Conference and State vice president women wing of the party, Bimla Luthra urged the people to support INDI Alliance candidate from Jammu- Reasi Constituency Raman Bhalla and vote in his favour on April 26.
She was speaking women party workers and others in a meeting held at village Parode in Katra last evening. The meeting was organized by Santosh Devi.
Addressing the meeting Bimla Luthra said that National Conference has always stood for women’s rights and will continue to do the same. She urged women of the area to vote and support INDI Alliance candidate from Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary Constituency, Raman Bhalla with a huge margin, saying this will be a victory of the secular forces.
Luthra said that the National Conference during its regime in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir headed by Dr Farooq Abdullah as well as later by Omar Abdullah left no stone unturned in fully empowering the women of this region. She said that it is known to one and all that the National Conference has during every phase of its rule worked relentlessly for providing equal rights to each and every section of the society.
Those who were present in the meeting included Anil Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Joginder Kour, Bharti and others.
