SAMBA, Sept 20: A meeting of women workers of National Conference (NC) was held at village Kothe Sanjan in Block Bishnah under the chairmanship of MLA Bimla Luthra, who took stock of the grievances of the women folk of the area.
The women workers apprised the MLA about the problems deficient water and power supply in the area. They also demanded a tailoring centre, a dispensary and two hand pumps for the area.
Bimla assured them that all their genuine demands would be redressed soon.
While addressing the meeting, Bimla briefed the women folk of various policies and programmes initiated by the State Government for the welfare of women especially belonging to far-flung areas.
