HYDERABAD, Apr 3: Bio India on Wednesday announced the launch of bio-liquor products, first time in India and Telangana.
Currently, we have launched four premium ranges of domestically produced bio-liquor products including bio whisky, bio Rum and bio Brandy, company sales and marketing head GV Naidu told reporters on the occasion.
We have all regulatory approvals in the country and trade marks were approved by the US besides having exports approved by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), he claimed and said that this bio-liquor formula was approved by the US.
Out exports will be to Dubai, Philippines, Russia and USA, Naidu said.
We have our own bio- liquor plant at Goa with a capacity of 50,000 cases per month and another bio-liquor manufacturing plant at Medchal in Telangana; the company marketing head said that we are also planning to start a bio-beer plant at Sangareddy district in Telangana in next 3 months.
The company has so far invested Rs 80-100 crore and another Rs 200 crore will be invested within one year for expansion of its footprint initially in Goa and Maharashtra before expanding across the country, he informed.
We are going to launch another six more bio liquor products this year but our aim is to launch 28 products within one year and all the bio-liquor products are currently available at 70-80 liquor shops in Telangana and it will be made available across all liquor shops in next three months, Naidu added.
Bio liquors inventor Dr Srinivas Amarnath stated ” bio-liquors are imbued with bio alkaloids, natural aromas devoid of synthetic flavors and colors, yet offer comparable intoxicating effects to traditional liquor brands.
Bio liquors are crafted using ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Artichoke, Rhatany root, Licorice and a variety of other rare botanicals, he added.
Company Managing Director Srinivasa Rayalu said Bio India garnered acclaim at a recent spirit-tasting completion in the US. (UNI)
