JAMMU, Oct 17: During a function organised at Shri Kameshwar Temple in Trikuta Nagar, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha here today celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki, author of the great epic Ramayana.
On this occasion, MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa was chief guest while Director Planning, Surendra Singh Sasan (retired) and senior Law Officer, Ramdas Bhagat were special guests.
Rich tribute were paid to Maharishi Valmiki and flower petals were showered over his portrait.
The legendary work of writing Ramayana by Valmiki, wherein he beautifully wrote about the great personality of Lord Rama, his services, struggles and character, was lauded by all.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha president, Purushotam Dadhichi; general secretary, Sanjay Gupta; treasurer, Anil Malhotra; Dilip Gupta, executive president; Prabhat Singh and others.
