Birth place of Banda Singh Bahadur to be developed as tourist place: Govt

JAMMU, Mar 19:  Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Ajaz Ahmad Khan while replying to an issue raised by Ravinder Kumar Sharma during the ‘Zero Hour’, said that the Government would identify the original birth place of Banda Singh Bahadur at Rajouri and initiate steps to develop it as tourist place.
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri raised the issue of the persons who have been engaged in various Government Departments including health institutions on temporary basis besides 200 persons working in CICs and demanded for framing a policy to save their future.
Dr. Shahnaz Ganai, besides calling for installation of CT Scan Machine at District Hospital, Poonch demanded early filling up of vacant posts of doctors and surgeons in Sub-District Hospital Mandi.
Jehangir Mir called for early compensation of damage to the owners, whose houses were occupied by security force and recently vacated in the Kashmir valley and other parts of the State.
Aga Syed Rizvi demanded early payment of honorarium in favour of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers engaged in Chiktan area of Ladakh under SSA.
Calling for re-surveying of BPL beneficiaries, B R Kundal demanded addition of deserving candidates in the BPL list and deletion of non-deserving beneficiaries.
Referring to a news item carried by a section of Press, Bashir Ahmed  Magray drew the attention of Government towards rising dog bite cases in Kashmir valley especially in Srinagar city. He sought Government’s intervention in dealing with this menace. Sheikh Ghulam Rasool also endorsed the issue and called for taking notice and adequate action of the issues being raised by the members during the ‘Zero Hour’ in the House.
Raising the issue of migrants of erstwhile district Doda Naresh Kumar Gupta demanded relief and incentive to them at par with Kashmiri Migrants.
Jugal Kishore Sharma sought clarification on the procedures in place for construction of hotels and houses on agriculture land within the Municipal limits jurisdiction of Jammu and Srinagar Development Authorities and the permission granted for the purposes.
Syed Rafiq Shah demanded construction of colony for political workers/migrants of various political parties on the pattern of Jagti Town constructed for Kashmiri Migrants.
Ali Mohammad Dar demanded de-notification of Chadoora, Seer Hamdan and  Shangus from their respective Municipal Committees.
Sham Lal Bhagat drew the attention of the Government towards non-availability of teachers in schools of rural and far-off areas of the State especially in district Doda.
Javid Rana called for shifting of Dal dwellers to another place already identified for their rehabilitation besides checking encroachment.
Nurboo Gialchan drew the attention of Government towards working of J&K Board of School Education and demanded ensuring timely availability and issuance of examination forms to the students of Leh and Kargil districts to avoid inconvenience being faced by them.
Muzaffer Ahmad Parray demanded extension in receipt date fixed for submission of Haj forms.
Subash Chander Gupta demanded introducing the subjects in newly opened Degree Colleges which are being taught in the schools falling in catchment area these Colleges.
Ghulam Nabi Monga demanded compensation and engagement of youth as Chowkidars, who have donated their land free of cost for construction of Panchayat Ghars in the State.
Showkat Hussain Ganai from NC called for constitution of checking squad to check the quality of pesticide being provided to the farmers from various sale outlets.
Abdul Majid from NC called for making functional the Yaripora hospital in newly constructed building besides starting work on health institute at Homeshalibugh.
Rani Gargi Beloria called for working jointly for the peace and prosperity of the State.
