JAMMU, Aug 5: Patanjali Yogpeeth at Haridwar celebrated the birthday of Acharya Balkrishan as Jadi-Buti Diwas.
On this occasion Acharya Balkrishan, who was conferred ‘Van Aoshdhi Pandit’ honour said that Patanjali has disseminated the knowledge acquired by saints and seers of India across the globe.
The birthday programme was celebrated at Patanjali Yogpeeth-2 in Yog Bhawan of Patanjali Wellness Centre.
On this occasion a Yagya was performed amidst the recitation of Vedic hymns.
Yog Guru Baba Ramdev extended best wishes to Acharya Balkrishan on phone from America.
He said that Acharya Balkrishan has rich knowledge of herbs and other medicinal things like ancient seers Charak, Sushrut and Dhanvantri.
On this occasion Dr. Yashdev Shastri has stressed on taking motivation to do hard work from the life of Acharya Balkrishan.
The 111 books (World Herbal Encyclopaedia) written by Acharya Balkrishan were released on this occasion along with many other books.
A blood donation camp was also organised on this occasion in which Acharya Balkrishan also donated blood and a total of 563 units of blood was collected.
A free eye and dental check-up camp was organised on this occasion under the supervision of Dr. Anurag Varshnay in which many people were benefited.
Herbal plants like Neem, Geloy, Tulsi, Alovera, Peepal etc were distributed free of cost on this occasion.
In another activity on this occasion Acharya Balkrishan launched herbal medicines like nasal spray etc for TB and other diseases and energy boosters like Chavanprash for children while for animals also he launched certain products.
The general secretary of Patanjali Gram Udhyog, Yashdev Shastri also spoke on this occasion.
