Bishnah robbery case worked out; 2 accused held

JAMMU, Dec 31: With the arrest of two individuals, Police in Bishnah area here today claimed to have solved a robbery case.
A police spokesperson said that information was received on December 8, 2023 from Pandorian Village of Bishnah that two masked men kept a woman captive and looted her gold ornaments by frightening her with sharp-edged weapons.
On getting information, he said, a case FIR number 257/2023 Under Sections 452, 392 of the IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and different teams were constituted to probe the case.
Under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, the police spokesperson said that the teams worked day in and day out to detain dozens of suspects for questioning and finally arresting two accused individuals identified as Kewal Krishan alias Manga and Romy of Badyal Qazain, RS Pura, Jammu.
On the disclosure of the accused, police have recovered cash amounting to Rs 1 lakh and the stolen gold ornaments weighing approximately 16 tolas.
As the further investigation is underway, more arrests in the case are expected.
Pertinently, the entire case was worked out under the overall supervision and guidance of SSP Jammu, Vinod Kumar.
