JAMMU, Feb 5: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma has alleged that action of BJP Govt against son of the soil, Anil Goswami for his removal from the post of Union Home Secretary is humiliation for the people of Jammu region.
Reacting sharply over this development, Mr Sharma alleged that Union BJP-led Government for its biased, vindictive and political motivated action, removed Mr Goswami from the important post of Union Home Secretary just to please one of the senior Cabinet Minister.
Mr Sharma accused Union Government of installing its own blue eyed bureaucrat at behest of RSS to saffronise the top bureaucracy. He described Mr Goswami as first IAS officer from Jammu who reached to the highest position of Union Home Secretary in last 67 years, due to his merit, intellect, calibre and capabilities. Unfortunately, with one stroke of political prejudiced action, his 37 years’ career has been spoiled by those claiming to provide good governance. He questioned, Prime Minister Modi if senior officers like Goswami are to be targeted for fulfilling the inflated ego of one political master, how administration will work fearlessly to deliver its best results.
The Congress leader charged BJP Government with acting in dictatorial manner and accused them for humiliating Jammu people, whose future has already been shrouded by Kashmiri dominance. And now, ceremonial exit of Mr Goswami, together with regional bias, indicates BJP’s anti-Jammu stance. He said, let Jammu people be apprised how many of their IAS\IPS\IFS and other All India Services officers are being placed at strategic positions at Centre; as removal of Mr Goswami raised doubts in the minds of people about the sincerity and seriousness of BJP to give Jammu its dues despite they have given landslide mandate in State Assembly in just concluded Assembly elections.
Mr Sharma suspected the mala-fide intentions of BJP Govt headed by Modi and maintained that Jammu people are shocked by the revengeful action against their one of the proud son of the soil. Mr Sharma demanded revocation of action against Anil Goswami and appealed Jammu people to condemn this act of political arrogance of BJP Government at the Centre.
