BJP adopting anti-people, anti-youth policies: Bhalla

AKHNOOR, Feb 7: Former minister and JKPCC vice president Raman Bhalla has blamed the BJP led Centre Government of adopted anti-people and anti- youth policies in J&K and cautioned the people against the divisive policies of the BJP.
Addressing a largely attended workers rally at Akhnoor organized by former MP Madan Lal Sharma, Raman Bhalla lashed out at BJP for failure to respect the aspirations of people who are suffering a lot in every sphere of life due to ongoing turmoil and political uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhalla said that BJP continues to divert the attention of the people from real issues of governance and keeps them engaged in their divisive agenda which is detrimental to the peace and harmony and overall economy of the country, as a result the overall economy is in doldrums today.
He said that BJP entered into an unholy alliance with PDP to gain power, as a result the erstwhile state is passing through the worst phase of history and the people are the real sufferers of the ongoing situation and youth are facing lot of hardships in the absence of jobs due to atmosphere ongoing uncertainty and turmoil. He said that the large number of unemployed youth and those engaged on daily wages/ contractual etc are facing the brunt of the situation.
Bhalla said that Congress is a formidable force in J&K and it would not be cowed down by the oppressive polices of the BJP. It would fight against the anti- people and anti- youth policies of the Government.
Former MP and senior Congress leader Madan Lal Sharma extended gratitude to the Congress workers for their whole hearted support and faith in the party as they realize that large scale development and employment was provided to the people during the Congress regime, which is missing during BJP rule. He said that the people in general and the Sarpanchs and Panchs in particular, are facing the heat of the neglect and fake promises of the BJP and there are no developmental activities on the ground.
He said that BJP had made tall promises while seeking huge mandate from Jammu region in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections but the people feel deceived and betrayed on every front. The BJP leaders only raised hollow slogans and indulged in publicity to keep the people in dark and engaged in non- productive activities.
PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former Vice Chairman OBC Board Kuldeep Raj Verma, Youth leader Satish Sharma, Suresh Dogra (Chairman OBC Cell), PYC president Uday Bhanu Chib, PCC secretary Neeraj Gupta and others also spoke on the occasion.
